CONCACAF Champions Cup: MLS Clubs Fit To Be Tied:

Two games in quarterfinal round play in the CONCACAF Champions Cup involved teams from Major League Soccer were played Wednesday:

At Kingston, Jamaica:

DC United and Harbour View played to a 1-1 draw in game one of their two-game home-and-away series, played on the Jamaican club's pitch. Devon McTavish scored in the 45th minute to give United the 1-0 lead, only to see Harbour View's Lovell Palmer tie it up in the 85th minute.

At Guatemala City:

Visiting Houston Dynamo and Municipal played to a 0-0 stalemate in game one.

The winner of this tournament will head to Japan to play in the FIFA Club World Cup tournament this coming December.




This is the final edition of the CONCACAF Champions Cup, which will be replaced beginning this coming summer by the new CONCACAF Champions League.
