At Bridgeview, Illinois:

Jozy Altidore (59') and Omar Gonzalez (80') each scored once as Toronto FC gained a 2-2 road draw with the Chicago Fire.

Aleksandar Katai (68') and Fabian Herbers (77') each scored once for the Fire, who were eliminated from playoff contention, and who played their final home game before returning to Soldier Field in Chicago next season.

At Cincinnati:

Benji Michel's late equalizer (90'+1) carried Orlando City to a 1-1 road draw with FC Cincinnati.

Allan Cruz scored for the hosts in the 40th minute.

The visiting Lions have now played five seasons in MLS and are still awaiting their first playoff appearance as they were eliminated from contention.

At Conakry, Guinea:

After Horoya blanked visiting JS Kabylie 2-0 in regulation of game two to square this series at 2-2 on aggregate, and with overtime dispensed with, Toufik Addadi, Juba Oukaci, Amir Belaili, Toufik Zeghdane, and Mohamed Bencherifa converted their spot kicks as the Algerian club took the penalty-kick shootout 5-3.

At Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo:

Merveille Kikasa's successfully-converted penalty kick in the 45th minute produced the game's--------and series'--------only goal as AS Vita Club defeated visiting ASC Kara 1-0 in both game two and on aggregate for the series to advance to the group stage.

At Omdurman, Sudan:

CAF Champions League: Al-Ahly, Raja Casablanca, ZESCO United, Platinum Advance To Group Stage

Four games were contested on Saturday as the first round of the CAF Champions League continued.

At Casablanca, Morocco:

Mouhcine Moutouali's goal in the eighth minute was good enough as Raja Casablanca gained a 1-1 game-two home draw with Al-Nasr and ousted the Libyan club 4-2 on aggregate.

At Cairo, Egypt:

Aliou Dieng (8'), Oluwafemi Ajayi (49'), Hussein Shahat (55'), and Salah Mohsen (86') each scored once as Al-Ahly demolished visiting Cano Sport 4-0 in game two and won their series with the club from Equatorial Guinea 6-0 on aggregate.


At Ndola, Zambia:

Abdulaziz Makame's own goal in the 78th minute proved costly as ZESCO United defeated visiting Young Africans 2-1 in game two and won their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Beira, Mozambique:

The second half of the first round of the CAF Champions League opened on Friday with three games.

At Kampala, Uganda:

By gaining a 1-1 game-two road draw with KCCA, Angola's Petro de Luanda, with the aggregate score also at 1-1, advanced to the group stage on away goals.

At Pretoria, South Africa:

Mamelodi Sundowns nuked visiting Cote d'Or 11-1 in game two and finished off the club from Seychelles 16-1 on aggregate.

At Rades, Tunisia:

Esperance de Tunis defeated visiting Elect-Sport 2-1 in game two and ousted the club from Chad 3-2 on aggregate.

After Toronto FC took game two of the Canadian Championship Final 1-0 at home to square the series at 1-1 on aggregate, and with overtime dispensed with, Bojan Krkic Perez, Daniel Lovitz, and Rudy Camacho all converted their spot kicks as the visiting Montreal Impact beat the Reds in the penalty-kick shootout 3-1 to claim their first CC title---and first CONCACAF Champions League berth---since 2014.

CONCACAF League: Motagua Blank Waterhouse In Jamaica To Open Quarterfinal Series

At Kingston, Jamaica:

Marcelo Pereira (66') and Kevin Lopez (71') each scored a second-half goal on Wednesday as Motagua blanked Waterhouse 2-0 on the road in the opening contest of a two-game series in the CONCACAF League's quarterfinal round.

MLS: LAFC Wrap Up Supporters Sheild; Galaxy, Loons, Sounders Lock Up Playoff Berths; Crew, SKC, Dynamo Eliminated

Six games were contested in Major League Soccer on Wednesday.

At New York:

Alexandru Mitritra produced a natural first-half hat trick (14', 23', 34') as New York City dominated visiting Atlanta United 4-1. 

At St. Paul, Minnesota:

Ozzie Alonso (70') and Hassani Dotson (90') each scored once as Minnesota United locked up their first-ever playoff berth by overcoming visiting Sporting Kansas City 2-1 as the guests will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2010, when they were still known as the Kansas City Wizards. 

At Sandy, Utah:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the game winner in the 80th minute as the Los Angeles Galaxy held off Real Salt Lake 2-1 on the road to punch their ticket to the MLS Cup Playoffs. 

At Los Angeles:

Carlos Vela (PK-23'), Diego Rossi (70'), and Eduard Atuesta (82') each scored a goal as the Los Angeles Football Club defeated the visiting Houston Dynamo to win the Supporters' Shield for the best record in MLS, the first major trophy in the club's two-year history.

The Dynamo were eliminated from playoff contention with the defeat. 

At Portland, Oregon:

Gustavo Bou (87') and Carles Gil (PK-90'+7) each scored once in the waning minutes as the New England Revolution came back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 road draw with the Portland Timbers, eliminating the Columbus Crew from playoff contention in the process.

Jeremy Ebobisse scored both goals (49', 81') for the Timbers. 

At San Jose, California:

Alejandro Bedoya (70') and Kacper Przybylko (76') each scored once as the Philadelphia Union upended the San Jose Earthquakes 2-1 on the road.

One other consequence of the Wednesday results was that the Seattle Sounders qualified for the playoffs for the eleventh straight season.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:
