Tuesday marked the opening of Group D play in the UEFA Champions League with two games.

At Dortmund, Germany:



Robert Lewandowski (shown here with teammates [L-R with Rugged Robert third from right] Marcos Reus, Ivan Perisic, and Marcel Schmelzer)scored the only goal of the match in the 87th minute as Borussia Dortmund defeated visiting Ajax Amsterdam 1-0.

Cristiano Ronaldo's game winner in the 90th minute enabled Real Madrid to come from behind and upend visiting Manchester City 3-2.  Yep, that's him celebrating after scoring the game clincher.
