In Wednesday's Major League Soccer dispersal draft of players from the roster of the late Club Deportivo Chivas USA, goalkeeper Dan Kennedy, the jewel of the Goats' roster, was selected first by FC Dallas.
Dan was one of only seven former Goats selected in the draft. Los Angeles' other MLS club was dissolved last month.
The other players selected:
Matthew Dunn, midfielder, selected by the New York City Football Club, one of two expansion clubs set to start play in 2015.
Thomas McNamara, forward/midfielder, selected by DC United.
Danny Toia, defender, selected by the Montreal Impact.
Caleb Calvert, forward, selected by the Colorado Rapids.
Kristopher Tyrpak, forward, selected by the San Jose Earthquakes.
Marco Delgado, midfielder/defender, selected by Toronto FC.
All of the aforementioned players were selected in the first round, with all 20 surviving clubs (including both expansion clubs NYCFC and Orlando City SC) passing in the second round.
No included for selection in the draft was forward Erick Cubo Torres, who returned to Chivas of Guadalajara.
