FIFA Club World Cup: Kashima Antlers Gore Atletico Nacional, Become First Asian Club To Advance To Final

At Osaka, Japan:

Shoma Doi (PK-33'), Yasushi Endo (83'), and Yuma Suzuki (85') each scored once on Wednesday as Kashima Antlers dominated South American champions Atletico Nacional of Colombia 3-0 in the first of two semifinal contests in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Japanese club became the first Asian team to advance to the final of this tournament.  On Sunday, Kashima will face the winner of Thursday's Club America-Real Madrid contest in the final, to be played in Yokohama.

Jeonbuk cruise to fifth place
Earlier on Wednesday, also in Osaka, Lee Jong-ho scored what proved to be the game winner in the 29th minute as South Korea's Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (Asia's club champs, shown here) dominated South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns (club champs of Africa) 4-1 in the fifth-place game.
