FIFA, soccer's governing body, today handed down a three-game suspension for retired French star Zinedine Zidane and a two-game ban for Italian defender Marco Materazzi for their part in the infamous head-butting incident that took play at the World Cup championship game back on July 9 in Berlin. Zizu was fined $6,000 and Marco, $3,000, after a disciplinary panel heard the now-retired French team captain's account of what led to the incident.
