Copa Libertadores: The Strongest Prevented From Moving To Knockout-Stage Berth; Club Libertad Clinch Berth In Round of 16

Two games were played in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores on Thursday.


Group One:


At Chiclayo, Peru:


Javier Araujo scored the only goal of the match in the 20th minute as Juan Aurich delivered a crippling blow to the knockout-stage hopes of The Strongest as they knocked off the visiting Bolivian club 1-0.

Pablo Velazquez (65') and Victor Caceres (90') each scored a goal as Club Libertad locked up a berth in the knockout stage with their 2-1 home win over Club Nacional, eliminating the Uruguayan club from the tournament in the process.
