Hot Monaco Now In Upper Half Of Ligue 2 Standings

At Longeville-les-Metz:


Ludovic Giuly (7') and  Edgard Salli (83') each contributed a goal on Friday as in-form AS Monaco won their fourth consecutive French Ligue 2 contest, 2-0 on the road over Metz.  The win moved the visitors to ninth place in the league standings, six points and nine places above the relegation zone and within eight points of the third and final promotion spot with six games remaining.  The defeat dropped the hosts into the drop zone, based on inferior goal differential (-9 to 0 for Le Harve).
