UEFA Champions League, Group C: Eagles, Mattress Makers To Knockout Stage

Two games were contested in Group C of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.

At Astana, Kazakhstan:

Raul Jimenez scored twice (40', 72') as SL Benfica battled back from a two-goal deficit and gained a 2-2 road draw with Astana.  Patrick Twumasi (19') and Marin Anicic (31') provided the scoring for the hosts, who were eliminated from the tournament.  Here's Astana's Nemanja Maksimovic battling with the knockout-stage-bound Eagles' Andreas Samaris for the ball.

At Madrid:

Antoine Griezmann scored both goals (13', 65'; that's him, on the left, celebrating with teammates after his second tally) in Atletico Madrid's 2-0 blanking of visiting Galatasaray as the Mattress Makers locked up a berth in the Champions League's knockout stage.
