Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice (41', PK-68') to help lead Manchester United to a 4-2 road doubling of Dynamo Kiev.
At Rome:
Mirko Vucinic scored the game winner (70') to lift AS Roma past visiting Sporting 2-1.
GROUP G:
At Moscow:
Powered by goals from Hernan Crespo (52') and Walter Samuel (80'), Inter Milan came from behind to defeat hosts CSKA Moscow 2-1.
At Eindhoven, Netherlands:
Visiting--and ten-men--Fenerbahce battled PSV Eindhoven to a 0-0 draw.
GROUP H:
At Seville, Spain:
First-half goals from Frederic Kanoute (5') and Luis Fabiano (17') were enough to lead Sevilla to a 2-1 home win over Steaua Bucharest.
At London:
In a game of textbook football---or soccer, as we Americans call it---Arsenal laid waste to visiting Slavia Prague in a classic case of what we call a good old-fashioned brass-knuckled fistbeating, 7-0. Cesc Fabregas (5', 58') and Theo Walcott (41', 55') each tallied twice for the Gunners.
