At Columbus, Ohio:
Kenny Cooper (3', 12') and Thierry Henry (39', 90') each scored twice as the New York Red Bulls ran over the home-standing Columbus Crew 4-1.
At Kansas City, Kansas:
Kei Kamara scored the only goal of the match in the 39th minute as Sporting Kansas City maintained their 100% start to the MLS season with a 1-0 home win over the surprisingly struggling Los Angeles Galaxy.
At Santa Clara, California:
Chris Wondolowski scored twice in the second half (68', 77') as the San Jose Earthquakes overtook the visiting and previously unbeaten Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1.
At Washington:
The contest between DC United and the visiting Seattle Sounders ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
At Sandy, Utah:
Alvaro Saborio (20') and Fabian Espindola (56') each delivered a goal as Real Salt Lake blanked the visiting Colorado Rapids 2-0.
At Portland, Oregon:
Alejandro Moreno (48') and Nick Labrocca (82') provided the scoring as Chivas USA came from behind to upend the Portland Timbers 2-1 on the road.
