UEFA Champions League, Group B: Royal Blues Battle Back To Gain Home Draw With Gunners; Olympiacos Still Very Much Alive

Two games were played on Tuesday in Group B of the UEFA Champions League.

At Gelsenkirchen, Germany:


Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (45'+2) and Jefferson Farfan (67') delivered the scoring that carried FC Schalke 04 back from a two-goal deficit to gain a 2-2 home draw with Arsenal, some of whose players are shown here reacting during the game.  Theo Walcott (18') and Olivier Giroud (26') provided the scoring for the visiting Gunners.

At Piraeus, Greece:



Paulo Machado (4'), Leandro Greco (80'), and Konstantinos Mitroglou (82') provided the goal power that carried Olympiacos to a 3-1 home win over Montpellier, keeping the Legend alive for a shot at advancing to the knockout stage, and all but knocking the visiting French club out of European competition.  Seen here is The Legend's Kostas Mitroglou (L) battling Montpellier's Vitorino Hilton for the ball.
