Two games were played on Thursday as the semifinal round of the Europa League came to a close.
At Florence, Italy:
Carlos Bacca (22') and Daniel Carrico (27') produced the goals as Sevilla blanked Fiorentina 2-0 on the road in game two of their semifinal series, which the current titlists won 5-0 on aggregate and advanced to the final.
At Kiev, Ukraine:
In a contest played in the Ukrainian capital due to the ongoing fighting between the government and pro-Russian separatists in the eastern part of the country, Yevhev Seleznyov scored the series-winning goal in the 58th minute as FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk defeated visiting Napoli 1-0 in game two and ousted the Italian club 2-1 on aggregate.
Sevilla and Dnipro will face off in the Europa League final on May 27 at Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw with the winner qualifying for next season's UEFA Champions League.
