At Harrison, New Jersey:
Vincent Nogueria (57') and C.J. Sapong (62') each scored a second-half goal five minutes apart as the Philadelphia Union defeated the New York Red Bulls 2-0 for their first-ever victory at Red Bull Arena.
At Santa Clara, California:
Chris Wondolowski scored his 100th career MLS goal (being only the ninth player in league history to do so) with his successful penalty kick in the 68th minute as the San Jose Earthquakes gained a 1-1 draw with Orlando City in a contest played at Levi's Stadium. Kaka converted a penalty kick of his own for the visiting Lions in the 64th minute.
