In the lone Saturday Major League Soccer contest, Dominique Badji scored twice (12', 54') and Shkelzen Gashi (79') as the Colorado Rapids clinched a first-round bye and a berth in the Western Conference semifinals following their 3-2 road win over the Houston Dynamo, who were eliminated from playoff contention.
The Rapids climbed to within two points of Western Conference (and Supporters' Shield race) leading FC Dallas with a game in hand.
