Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two regulation decision to Millonarios on the road, thus squaring the two-match series at 1-1 on aggregate, and with overtime disposed with, Jonathan Moreira, Grafite, Carlos Alberto de Jesus, and Felipe Gedoz all converted their spot kicks as Atletico Paranaense won the penalty-kick shootout 4-2 to advance to the third qualifying round.
At Santiago, Chile:
Rodrigo Pimpao's goal in the 80th minute lifted Botafogo to a 1-1 game-two road draw with Colo-Colo and a 3-2 series aggregate win.
