At Manchester, England:
Juan Mata scored the only goal of the match in the 70th minute as Manchester United defeated visiting FC Rostov 1-0 in game two and eliminated the Russian club 2-1 on aggregate.
At Istanbul, Turkey:
Ryan Babel scored twice (22', 75') as Besiktas dominated visiting Olympiacos 4-1 in game two and ousted the Greek club 5-2 on aggregate.
At Genk, Belgium:
Timothy Castagne scored in the 20th minute for KRC Genk as the hosts gained a 1-1 game-two draw with fellow Belgian club KAA Gent and won their two-match series 6-3 on aggregate.
At Amsterdam, Netherlands:
Bertrand Traore (23') and Kasper Dolberg (PK-45'+3) each scored once as Ajax Amsterdam overcame their series-opening road defeat with a 2-0 home blanking of FC Copenhagen in game two and took out the Danish club 2-1 on aggregate.
