Two games were played on Wednesday as Group B play in the UEFA Champions League drew to a close.
At Milan, Italy:
Vasili Berezutski scored the winning goal in the 86th minute (shown here) as CSKA Moscow knocked off Inter Milan 2-1 on the road and clinched a berth alongside the Nerazzurri in the knockout stage.
At Villeneuve-d'Ascq, France:
The match between Lille and visiting Trabzonspor ended in a 0-0 stalemate with both clubs eliminated from the tournament, though the visiting Turkish club will play in the knockout stage in the Europa League. Here's a save by goalkeeper Tolga Zengin for the visiting Black Sea Storm.

Inter Milan and CSKA Moscow advanced to the knockout stage of the Champions League, while Trabzonspor qualified for the Europa League's round of 32. Lille's European campaign has ended.

At Moscow:

At Trabzon, Turkey:
Halil Altintop's equalizer at 23 minutes kept Trabzonspor in second place in Group B following their 1-1 home draw with Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri, whose goalkeeper Julio Cesar is pictured here, nevertheless, clinched top spot in the group, thanks to Ricardo Alvarez's goal in the 18th minute.

Walter Samuel (18', that's him celebrating) and Diego Milito (65') provided the scoring as Inter Milan tightened their hold on top spot in Group B with a 2-1 home win over Lille.

Tuesday saw the resumption of action from Group B in the UEFA Champions League with two games.
At Moscow:
Lucio (6', that's him, folks, celebrating with teammates), Giampaolo Pazzini (23'), and Mauro Zarate (78') each tallied once as Inter Milan, despite blowing a two-goal lead, bounced back following their opening-match defeat and upended CSKA Moscow 3-2 on the road.

At Trabzon, Turkey:
Gustavo Colman's successful penalty kick in the 75th minute (shown here, apologies for the poor quality) enabled Trabzonspor to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Lille. Moussa Sow scored for the visiting Mastiffs at 31 minutes.

Moussa Sow (45') and Benoit Pedretti (57') provided the scoring that staked LOSC Lille Metropole to a 2-0 lead at home. Seydou Doumbia, however tallied twice in the final twenty minutes (72', 90') to lift CSKA Moscow to a 2-2 road draw.
