English League Championship Promotion Playoffs: Late Heroics Send Hornets Into Promotion Final

At Watford, England:

Goals from Matej Vydra (15', 65') and Troy Deeney (90'+7) carried Watford to a 3-1 game-two home win over Leicester City on Sunday and a 3-2 two-game aggregate victory as the Hornets secured a berth in next Monday's English League Championship promotion final at Wembley Stadium in London for a shot at returning to the English Premier League after a six-year absence.  The Foxes' Anthony Anthony Knockaert had a chance to give the visitors the aggregate lead during second-half stoppage time, but Hornets goalkeeper Manuel Almunia pulled a double save on the penalty kick.

The Hornets will take on the winner of the Crystal Palace-Brighton & Hove Albion series (currently scoreless after one game) in the promotion-playoff final.
