Group-stage play in the UEFA Champions League concluded on Wednesday with eight games, two of the matches being contested in Group E.
At Rome:
Samir Nasri (60', that's him here celebrating after scoring) and Pablo Zebaleta (86') provided the scoring as Manchester City knocked off AS Roma 2-0 on the road and locked up a berth in the knockout stage of the Champions League.
At Munich, Germany:
Thomas Muller (PK-18', that's him celebrating after scoring), Sebastian Rode (84') and Mario Goetze (90') each delivered a goal as Bayern Munich dominated visiting CSKA Moscow 3-0 and ended the Horses' European campaign.

2. Manchester City (GP: 6; GD: +1; PTS: 8)

Bayern Munich and Manchester City advanced to the Champions League's knockout stage while AS Roma qualified for the group stage of the Europa League.
Group-stage play in the UEFA Champions League resumed on Tuesday with eight games, two of them in Group E.
At Khimki, Russia:
Vasili Berezutski's late equalizer (90'+3) enabled CSKA Moscow to salvage a 1-1 home draw with AS Roma. Francesco Totti (that's him battling with the Horses' Aleskandrs Cauna, left) scored for the visiting Italian club in the 43rd minute.

At Manchester, England:
Sergio Aguero delivered a hat trick (PK-22', 85', 90'+1) as Manchester City came from behind to upend visiting Bayern Munich 3-2. That's Sergio, celebrating his game winner with teammates.

Franck Ribery (38', that's him celebrating) and Mario Gotze (64') each scored a goal as Bayern Munich locked up not only a berth in the knockout stage, but also won Group E with a 2-0 home win over AS Roma.
