CONCACAF Gold Cup: It's Team USA Vs. El Tri For The Marbles

At Nashville, Tennessee:

Christian Pulsic scored twice (52', 87') on Wednesday as the United States held off Jamaica 3-1 in semifinal round action in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The Americans will face arch-rivals Mexico in Sunday's final at Chicago's Soldier Field (6:00 PM Pacific Time, Fox Sports One).

CONCACAF Gold Cup: El Tri Top Haiti In OT To Advance To Final

At Glendale, Arizona:

In Tuesday's CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal match, Raul Jimenez scored the winning goal with his successfully-converted overtime penalty kick in the 93rd minute as Mexico outlasted Haiti 1-0 to advance to their ninth tournament final.

El Tri will take on the winner of Wednesday's Jamaica-United States contest in Sunday's final, to be played at Chicago's Soldier Field (6:00 PM Pacific Time, FOX).

CONCACAF Gold Cup: 1-0 Victories Send Team USA, Reggae Boyz Into Semifinals

The quarterfinal round of the CONCACAF Gold Cup concluded in Sunday at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.

In the opener, Darren Mattocks converted a penalty kick into the game-winning goal at 75 minutes as Jamaica defeated Panama 1-0.


In the nightcap (and the quarterfinal round's finale), Weston McKennie scored the game's lone goal in the 25th minute as the United States outlasted Curacao 1-0.

CONCACAF Gold Cup: Haiti, El Tri Advance To Semifinals

The quarterfinal round of the CONCACAF Gold Cup is set to open on Saturday with two games contested at Houston's NRG Stadium.

Game One:

Duckens Nazon (50'), Herve Bazile (PK-70'), and Wilde-Donald Guerrier (76') each scored a second-half goal as Haiti erased a two-goal deficit and upended Canada 3-2.

Game Two:

After a 1-1 draw in regulation, which was followed by 30 goal-free minutes of overtime, Luis Montes, Roberto Alvarado, Jesus Gallardo, Hector Moreno, and Carlos Salcedo converted their spot kicks as Mexico topped Costa Rica 5-4 in a penalty-kick shootout that lasted six rounds.

CONCACAF Gold Cup: Jozy Makes Things Rosy For Team USA As Americans Beat Panama To Win Group D As Group-Stage Play Ends

Group-stage play in the CONCACAF Gold Cup concluded on Wednesday with two games in Group D, both contested at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas.

Game One:

Kevin Molino's equalizer in the 80th minute lifted Trinidad and Tobago to a 1-1 draw with Guyana in the tournament swan song for both squads.

Neil Danns scored for the Golden Jaguars in the 54th minute.

Game Two:

In the group-stage finale, Jozy Altidore's goal in the 66th minute as the United States defeated Panama 1-0 to win Group D.  Both teams had already clinched berths in the quarterfinal round.

Final Group D Standings:

1. United States (GP: 3; GD: +11; PTS: 3)
2. Panama (GP: 3; GD: +3; PTS: 6)
3. Guyana (GP: 3; GD: -6; PTS: 1)
4. Trinidad and Tobago (GP: 3; GD: -8; PTS: 1)

The Unites States and Panama advanced to the quarterfinal round.

CONCACAF Gold Cup: Jamaica, Curacao Advance To Quarterfinals

Two games in Group C of the CONCACAF Champions League were contested on Tuesday at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.

Game One:

Jurien Gaari's stoppage time equalizer (90'+3) lifted Curacao to a 1-1 draw with Jamaica as both teams advanced to the quarterfinal round.

Shamar Nicholson scored for the Reggae Boyz in the 14th minute.

Game Two:

Jorge Alvarez (59'), Roman Castillo (65'), Bryan Acosta (75'), and Emilio Izaguirre (90') each scored once as Honduras demolished El Salvador 4-0 in what proved to be the tournament swan song for both squads.

Final Group C Standings:

1. Jamaica (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 5)
2. Curacao (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 4)

CONCACAF Gold Cup: Haiti Knocks Off Ticos To Top Group B

Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey was the site for both Monday Group B contests in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Game one:

Lejuan Simmons (60') Nahki Wells (71') each scored once as Bermuda, in their first-ever Gold Cup victory,  blanked Nicaragua 2-0 in the tournament swan song for both squads. 

Game two:

Djimy Alexis scored the winning goal in the 81st minute as Haiti knocked off Costa Rica 2-1 to win the Group B title.

Final Group B Standings:

1. Haiti (GP: 3; GD: +4; PTS: 9)
2. Costa Rica (GP: 3; GD: +4; PTS: 6)
3. Bermuda (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 3)

CONCACAF Gold Cup: Canada, El Tri Advance To Quarterfinals

The final cycle of CONCACAF Gold Cup group-stage games commenced on Sunday with two Group A contests taking place with two contests as Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In the opener, Jonathan David (3', 71', 77') and Lucas Cavallini (23', 43', 45'+1) each produced a hat trick as Canada nuked Cuba 7-0 to advance to the quarterfinal round.

In the nightcap, Fernando Navarro scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute as Mexico locked up top spot in Group A after holding off game Martinique 3-2.

Final Group A Standings:

1. Mexico (GP: 3; GD: +10; PTS: 9)
2. Canada (GP: 3; GD: +9; PTS: 6)
3. Martinique (GP: 3; GD: -2; PTS: 3)

CONCACAF Gold Cup: Team USA, Panama Advance To Quarterfinals

Two games in Group D of the CONCACAF Gold Cup were contested at FirstEngery Stadium in Cleveland on Saturday.

Game One:

Eric Davis scored the game winner by converting a penalty kick in the 51st minute as Panama held off Guyana 4-2.

Game Two:

Aaron Long (41', 90') and Gyasi Zardes (66', 69') each scored twice as the United States avenged the defeat that derailed their attempted qualifying for the 2018 World Cup by annihilating Trinidad and Tobago 6-0.

Group D Standings:

CONCACAF Gold Cup: Curacao Knocks Out Honduras; Goose Eggs For El Salvador, Reggae Boyz

Two games in Group C of the CONCACAF Gold Cup were played on Friday at BBVA Stadium in Houston.

Game One:

El Salvador and Jamaica battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

Game Two:

Leandro Bacuna scored the only goal of the match in the 40th minute as Curacao picked up their first-ever Gold Cup victory, having stunned Honduras 1-0, knocking the Central American country out of the tournament.

Group C Standings:

The second round of CONCACAF Gold Cup contests
commenced on Wednesday with two Group A games at Broncos Stadium at Mile High in Denver.

Game One:

Joris Marveaux (45'), Stephane Abaul (70'), and Kevin Fortune (84') each scored once as Martinique dominated Cuba 3-0.

Game Two:

Jose Guardado scored twice (54', 77') as Mexico defeated Canada 3-1.

Two games, at Allianz Field in St. Paul , Minnesota,  were played on Tuesday in Group D of the CONCACAF Gold Cup as the first cycle of first-round games came to a close.

Game One:

Armando Cooper (53') and Edgar Barcenas (68') each scored once as Panama blanked Trinidad and Tobago 2-0.

Game Two:

Tyler Boyd scored twice (51', 81') as the United States scored three goals in the second half as the hosts demolished Guyana 4-0.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup opened on Saturday with two games in Group A, contested at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

Game One:

Jonathan David scored twice (33', 53') as Canada demolished Martinique 4-0.

Game Two:

Carlos Antuna produced a hat trick (2', 44', 80') while Raul Jimenez added a double (31', 64') as Mexico laid waste to Cuba 7-0.
