UEFA Champions League, Group F: On To The Knockout Stage For Dortmund, Lazio

 The final two games of Group F play in the UEFA Champions League took place on Tuesday.


At Saint Petersburg, Russia:


Axel Witsel scored the winning goal in the 78th minute as Borussia Dortmund locked up the top spot in the group by defeating Zenit Saint Petersburg 2-1 on the road.


At Rome:


Carlos Correa (12') and Ciro Immobie (PK-27') each scored once as Lazio gained a 2-2 home draw with Club Brugge and locked up a berth in the Champions League's knockout stage for the first time in 21 years.


Ruud Vormer (15') and Hans Vanaken (76') each scored once for the Europa-League-bound Belgian club.


Final Group F Standings:


1. Borussia Dortmund (GP: 6; GD: +7; PTS: 13)

2. Lazio (GP: 6; GD: +4; PTS: 10)

3. Club Brugge (GP: 6; GD: -2; PTS: 8)

4. Zenit Saint Petersburg (GP: 6; GD: -9; PTS: 1)


Borrusia Dortmund and Lazio advanced to the Champions League knockout stage; Club Brugge qualified for the knockout stage of the Europa League.

UEFA Champions League, Group F: Dortmund Clinch Berth In Knockout Stage; Lazio, Club Brugge Still Battling For Round-of-16 Berth

 Two games in Group F of the UEFA Champions League were played on Wednesday.


At Dortmund, Germany:


Ciro Immobile converted a penalty kick in the 67th minute that lifted Lazio to a 1-1 road draw with Borussia Dortmund.


Raphael Guerrero scored for the host----who clinched a berth in the Champions League's knockout stage---in the 44th minute.


At Bruges, Belgium:


Charles De Ketelaere (33'), Hans Vanaken (PK-58'), and Noa Lang (73') each scored once as Club Bruges kept their Champions League knockout-stage chances alive by dominating visiting Zenit Saint Petersburg 3-0.


Group F Standings:

 Two games were played in Group F of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.


At Rome:


Ciro Immobile scored twice (3', PK-55') as Lazio defeated visiting Zenit Saint Petersburg 3-1, eliminating the Russian club from the tournament.


At Dortmund, Germany:


Erling Haaland scored twice (18', 60') as Borussia Dortmund downed visiting Club Brugge 3-0.

At Saint Petersburg, Russia:


Felipe Caicedo's equalizer in the 82nd minute lifted Lazio to a 1-1 road draw with Zenit Saint Petersburg.


Aleksandr Yerokhin scored for the hosts at 32 minutes.


At Bruges, Belgium:


Erling Haaland scored twice (18', 32') as Borussia Dortmund dominated Club Brugge 3-0 on the road.

Jadon Sancho (PK-78') and Erling Haaland (90'+1) each scored once as Borussia Dortmund blanked visiting Zenit Saint Petersburg 2-0.


At Bruges, Belgium:


Hans Vanaken's successfully-converted penalty kick (42') lifted Club Brugge to a 1-1 home draw with Lazio.


Carlos Correa scored for the Young Eagles in the 14th minute.
