AUCKLAND CITY DEFEAT AS TEFANA FOR FOURTH OFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CROWN

Manel Exposito scored the only goal of the match in the 41st minute on Sunday as Auckland City defeated AS Tefana 1-0 on the road in the second game of the two-match OFC Champions League final, enabling the club to capture their fourth title 3-1 on aggregate.  The club from New Zealand (shown here celebrating) will play in the FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in Japan this coming December.

OFC Champions League Final: Auckland City Hold On For 2-1 Series-Opening Win

At Auckland, New Zealand:


David Mulligan (56') and Daniel Koprivcic (60') each scored a goal as Auckland City took the opening game of the OFC Champions League on Sunday, 2-1 at home over AS Tefana.  Axel Williams kept the Tahitian club alive in the series with an away goal in the 70th minute.  The two-match final is schedule to conclude on May 12 at Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia.
