Chris Burdys scored twice (30', 65') as Airbus UK defeated The New Saints 2-1 at home in Friday Welsh Premier League action.  The victory placed the Wingmakers in first place in the league standings.  While Airbus UK, Bangor City, and TNS are all level on points, the Wingmakers have superior goal differential (+20, compared to +16 for both the Citizens and Saints).

Simon Spender scored the only goal of the match in the 74th minute on Friday as The New Saints launch their Welsh Premier League title defense with a 1-0 home win over Airbus UK.
