Seven Wins In A Row For League-Leading Grasshoppers

At Zurich, Switzerland:

In the lone Monday Swiss Super League contest, a battle of the top two clubs in the league standings, Nassim Ben Khalifa scored the only goal of match in the 38th minute as Grasshoppers blanked visiting St. Gallen 1-0 to take over top spot in the standings.  The win was Grasshoppers seventh in a row in league play.  Thus far, the season was a far cry from last year's relegation battle.

At St. Gallen, Switzerland:


Nico Abegglen scored the tying goal in the 90th minute to lift FC St. Gallen to a 1-1 Saturday Swiss Super League home draw with Grasshoppers, whose goal came from Izet Hajrovic in the 26th minute.

At Zurich, Switzerland:

In a battle of relegation-threatened clubs, Nico Abegglen (42'), Ezequiel Scarione (64'), and Fabian Frei (78') each tallied once as last-place FC St. Gallen knocked off ninth-place Grasshoppers 3-1 on the road in Wednesday Swiss Super League action.
