Rudi Skacel scored twice (27', 75') as Heart of Midlothian spanked ten-man Hibernian 5-1 in Saturday's Scottish Cup final in a battle of the Scottish Premier League's two Edinburgh clubs.  For Hearts, it's their first cup title since 2006.  Hibs are still waiting for their first in 110 years.  Hearts will enter the playoff round for a group-stage berth in next season's Europa League.

Kyle Lafferty's goal at 17 minutes lifted Rangers to a 1-0 road win over Hibernian to clinch their second straight SPL championship, also on Sunday.

As for the 2010-11 UEFA Champions League, both Rangers (in the Champions bracket) and Celtic (in the Best-Placed Team bracket) will take part in the third round of qualifying.





 

Big Comeback Win For Bhoys Over Hibs

Late goals from Marc-Antoine Fortune (80') and Morten Rasmussen (87') enabled Celtic to come from behind and defeat visiting Hibernian 3-2 in Saturday Scottish Premier League action.  The win tightened the Bhoys' grip on Scotland's second UEFA Champions League berth and prevented arch-rival Rangers from locking up the SPL title this weekend.
