1860 Munich Still With Hope For Promotion After Topping Duisburg
At Munich, Germany:
Benjamin Lauth scored the winning goal in the 71st minute as TSV 1860 Munich defeated visiting MSV Duisburg 3-1 in Wednesday action from the German second division. TSV found themselves seven points behing third-place Fortuna Dusseldorf with four games remaining in the regular season. Third place in the second division means a two-match playoff with the 16th-placed team in the Bundesliga for the right to play in the German top flight next season.

Royal Blues Annihilate Duisburg To Win German Cup Title

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored twice on Saturday (22', 70') as Schalke 04 buried second-division club MSV Duisburg 5-0 to win the final of the DFB-Pokal tournament, enabling the Royal Blues to capture their first major piece of silverware since 2002. As German Cup winners, Schalke will take part in the playoff round for a group-stage berth in next season's Europa League.
