Nestor Ortigoza's penalty kick in the 35th minute proved to be the only goal of the match on Wednesday as San Lorenzo defeated visiting Club Nacional of Paraguay 1-0 in the second game of the Copa Libertadores final, enabling the Argentinian club to win their first-ever South American club championship 2-1 on aggregate.
Los Matadores will play in the FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place this coming December in Morocco.

Julio Santa Cruz delivered the equalizer in the third minute of second-half stoppage time on Wednesday as Club Nacional battled back to salvage a 1-1 series-opening home draw with San Lorenzo as the Copa Libertadores final got under way. The series will conclude next Wednesday at Buenos Aires, with the winner advancing to this coming December's FIFA World Cup, set to take place in Morocco.
