At Columbus, Ohio:

At San Salvador, El Salvador:
El Salvador came back from a two-goal deficit to gain a 2-2 home draw with Trinidad and Tobago, thanks to William Osael Romero's double (79', 90+4'). Carlos Edwards (7') and Dwight Yorke (PK-27') provided the first-half scoring for the Trinidians.
At San Jose, Costa Rica:
Andy Furtado provided both tallies (48', 59') as Costa Rica blanked visiting Honduras 2-0.
Standings:
1. Costa Rica (GP: 1; GD: +2: PTS: 3)
United States (GP: 1; GD: +2; PTS: 3)
3. Trinidad and Tobago (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)
El Salvador (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)
5. Honduras (GP: 1; GD: -2; PTS: 0)
Mexico (GP: 1; GD: -2; PTS: 0)
The top three teams qualify for next year's FIFA World Cup while the fourth place team would fact the fifth place team from South America (COMNEBOL) in a two-match home-and-away playoff the right to go to South Africa.
