Ahmad Latiff scored the game-winning goal in overtime (99') as the Singapore Armed Forces Football Club defeated Indonesia's PSMS Medan 2-1 on Wednesday to lock up a group stage berth in the AFC Champions League. The official soccer club of Singapore's armed forces will be placed in Group G alongside Mainland China's Shanghai Shenua, Japan's Kashima Antlers, and South Korea's Suwon Bluewings, who recently defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy to capture the Pan-Pacific championship this past Saturday.
At Sharjah, United Arab Emirates:
Goals from Anderson (12'), Jean Carlos (34'), Salem Saif (55') enabled Sharjah FC to overpower India's Dempo 3-0 on Wednesday night to reach the AFC Champions League's group stage. The club from the UAE will be placed in Group B alongside Persepolis FC (Iran), Al-Shabab (Saudi Arabia), and Al-Gharafa (Qatar).
