MLS: SKC Still Perfect After Six Games; Philly, DCU, Sounders, Galaxy, Goats, Hoops Win Too; Quakes and Red Bulls Battle To 2-2 Stalemate

Eight games were played in Major League Soccer on Saturday.


At Chester, Pennsylvania:


Gabriel Gomez converted his penalty kick in the 38th minute as the Philadelphia Union picked up their first win of the season, 1-0 over the visiting Columbus Crew.


At Foxborough, Massachusetts:


Maicon Santos (19') and Chris Pontius (81') each scored once as DC United defeated the New England Revolution 2-1 on the road.


At Seattle:


Zach Scott provided the only goal of the match in the 63rd minute as the Seattle Sounders blanked the visiting Colorado Rapids 1-0.


At Toronto:


Tilson Minda provided the game's long goal in the 31st minute as Chivas USA picked up their third road win of the season, keeping Toronto FC winless (and pointless) 1-0.


At Harrison, New Jersey:


Rafael Baca (15') and Chris Wondolowski (34') provided the scoring as the San Jose Earthquakes overcame two one-goal deficits and gained a 2-2 road draw with the New York Red Bulls, whose tallies came courtesy of Kenny Cooper (5') and Dax McCarty (31').


At Frisco, Texas:


Blaz Perez (77') and Brek Shea (87') provided the scoring punch as FC Dallas came from behind and upended the visiting Montreal Impact 2-1.


At Kansas City, Kansas:


Aurelien Collin scored the only goal of the match in the 63rd minute as Sporting Kansas City remained unbeaten and untied after six games following their 1-0 home triumph over Real Salt Lake.


At Carson, California:


Landon Donovan (44'), Juninho (83'), and David Beckham (90'+1) each scored a goal as the Los Angeles Galaxy came back from a goal down to hand the visiting Portland Timbers their fourth consecutive setback 3-1.
