The Major League Soccer Cup Playoffs entered its' quarterfinal round on Saturday with two games.
At Foxborough, Massachusetts:
Andy Dorman (55') and Kelyn Rowe (67') provided the scoring as the New England Revolution took the opening game of their Eastern Conference semifinal series 2-1 at home over Sporting Kansas City. Aurelien Collin scored for the visitors in the 69th minute to keep SKC in the series.
At Seattle:
Ryan Johnson (15') and Darlington Nagbe (67') delivered the goals for the Portland Timbers as they defeated the Seattle Sounders 2-1 on the road in the opening match of their Western Conference semifinal series. Ozzie Alonso breathed life into the Sounders with his tally in the 90th minute.
