Seven games were played on Wednesday as group-stage action in the AFC Champions League continued.

Group A:

At Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates:

Mohammad Ghazi Najafabadi scored the only goal of the match in the 69th minute as Esteghlal FC defeated Al-Jazira 1-0 on the road.

At Al Rayyan, Qatar:

With goals courtesy of Eysa Almahyani (7') and Hassan Fallatah (90'+2), Al-Shabab knocked off Al-Rayyan 2-0 on the road.

Tatsuya Yamashita scored twice in the final half-hour (65', 89') as Cerezo Osaka erased a two-goal deficit and gained a 2-2 road draw with Buriram United.  Theeraton Bunmathan (9') and Suchao Nuchum (41') scored for the hosts in the first half.

At Jinan, China:

Kim Seung-Dae scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute as Pohang Steelers held off hosts Shandong Luneng Taisham 4-2.

Leonardo Rodriguez Pereira scored the only goal of the match in the 76th minute as Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors defeated visiting Guangzhou Evergrande 1-0.

At Yokohama, Japan:

Shingo Hyodo scored the winning goal in the 89th minute as Yokohama F. Marinos held off the visiting Melbourne Victory 3-2.
