Despite dropping a 1-0 Tuesday game-two decision on the road to archrivals Boca Juniors, River Plate still won their Copa Libertadores series 2-1 on aggregate.
The Millionaires will take on a club from Brazil in the tournament final which will take place on November 23 in Santiago, Chile.
Right now, the other semifinal series, between Flamengo and Gremio is squared at 1-1 on aggregate with the series set to conclude on Wednesday in Rio de Janeiro.
