CAF Champions League

Group-stage play in the CAF Champions League reached its' midway point on Saturday with five games.

GROUP A:

At Ndola, Zambia:

Quadri Aladeokun's equalizer in the 78th minute enabled ZESCO United to gain a 1-1 home draw with Zamalek.

Mostafa Mohamed scored in the 72nd minute for the Egyptian club.

Group A Standings:

2. Zamalek (GP: 3; GD: -1; PTS: 4)
3. ZESCO United (GP: 3; GD: -1; PTS: 2)

NOTE:  ZESCO United scored a road goal in their November 30th 1-1 draw with CD Primeiro de Agosto.



GROUP B:

At Rades, Tunisia:

Athar El Tahir scored the only goal of the 59th minute as Al-Hilal Omdurman defeated Etoile du Sahel 1-0 on the road.

At Cairo:

Walid Soliman scored twice (8', PK-69') as Al-Ahly blanked visiting FC Platinum 2-0.

Group B Standings:

1. Al-Ahly (GP: 3; GD: +2; PTS: 6)
2. Al-Hilal Omdurman (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 6)
3. Etoile du Sahel (GP: 3; GD: +3; PTS: 6)
4. FC Platinum (GP: 3; GD: -6; PTS: 0)

NOTES:  Al-Ahly, Al-Hilal Omdurman, and Etoile du Sahel were all tied on head-to-head points (3) and head-to-head goal difference (0); on head-to-head goals scored, Al-Ahly (2), Al-Hilal (2), Etoile du Sahel (1); on head-to-head points, Al-Ahly 3, Al-Hilal 0.



GROUP C:

At Bilda, Algeria:

Hlompho Kekana's goal in the 59th minute provided all the scoring as Mamelodi Sundowns defeated USM Alger 1-0 on the road.

At Casablanca, Morocco:

Ayoub El Kaabi produced a hat trick (29', 79', PK-90'+3) as Wydad Casablanca dominated visiting Petro de Luanda 4-1.
