UEFA Champions League, Group C: Atalanta To Join Citizens In Knockout Stage; Shakhtar To Europa League

Two games were played on Wednesday, which marked the final day of action in Group C of the UEFA Champions League.

At Kharkiv, Ukraine (due to warlike conditions in eastern Ukraine):

Timothy Castagne (66', shown here), Mario Pasalic (80'), and Robin Gosens (90'+4) each scored once as Atalanta booked their passport for the Champions League's knockout stage by dominating Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0 on the road.

Despite the defeat, the Ukrainian club still qualified for the Europa League's knockout stage.

At Zagreb, Croatia:

Gabriel Jesus (shown here celebrating with teammates) produced a hat trick (34', 50', 54') as Manchester City dominated Dinamo Zagreb 4-1 on the road to end the Croatian club's European campaign.

2. Atalanta (GP: 6; GD: -4; PTS: 7)

Manchester City and Atalanta advanced to the Champions League's knockout stage; Shakhtar Donetsk qualified for the knockout stage of the Europa League.
