UEFA Champions League, Group F: Barca Top PSG To Win Group; Ajax Thump APOEL For Europa League Berth

Action from Group F of the UEFA Champions League concluded with two games on Wednesday.

At Barcelona:

Lionel Messi (19', that's him celebrating with teammates after scoring), Neymar (41'), and Luis Suarez (77') each scored a goal as Barcelona defeated visiting Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 and jumped past the French club to win Group F.

At Amsterdam, Netherlands:

Lasse Schone scored twice (PK-45', 50', that's him celebrating with his teammates after his second score) as Ajax Amsterdam demolished visiting APOEL FC 4-0 to sew up a berth in the Europa League's knockout stage.

UEFA Champions League, Group F: Leo The Lion Becomes King Of The Champions League As Barca Demolishes APOEL; PSG Wins Too

Tuesday saw two games played in Group F of the UEFA Champions League.

At Nicosia, Cyprus:

Lionel Messi delivered a natural hat trick (38', 58', 87', that's him celebrating after completing his triple) and became the all-time leading goal scorer in European Cup/Champions League history with 74 as Barcelona demolished APOEL FC 4-0 on the road.

At Paris:

Edinson Cavani (that's him here) scored twice (33', 83') and Zlatan Irbrahimovic once (78') as Paris Saint-Germain dominated visiting Ajax Amsterdam 3-0.

UEFA Champions League, Group F; PSG, Barca Clinch Knockout-Stage Berths

Group F play in the UEFA Champions League continued on Wednesday with two games.

At Paris:
Quick-fire Cavani sends Paris through, APOEL out
Edinson Cavani (shown here celebrating) scored the only goal of the match in the second minute as Paris Saint-Germain clinched a berth in the knockout stage with their 1-0 home win over APOEL FC, knocking the Cypriot club out of the tournament.

At Amsterdam, Netherlands:
Messi matches goal record as Barcelona advance
Lionel Messi scored twice (36, 76, that's him celebrating with teammates) as Barcelona locked up a knockout-stage berth with a 2-0 road win over Ajax Amsterdam, eliminating the Dutch giants from the tournament.  Leo the Lion now has scored 71 Champions League goals, tying the record set by Raul.

Two games were played in Group F of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

At Nicosia, Cyprus:
Cavani ensures Paris patience pays off at APOEL
Edinson Cavani scored the only goal of the match in the 87th minute as Paris Saint-Germain defeated APOEL FC 1-0 on the road.  That's him (left) with APOEL's Joao Guilherme.

At Barcelona:
Irresistible Barcelona brush Ajax aside
Neymar (7'), Lionel Messi (24', that's him, celebrating), and Sandro Ramirez (90'+4) each scored a goal as Barcelona defeated visiting Ajax Amsterdam 3-1.

Two games were played in Group F of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Paris get better of Barcelona in five-goal thriller
Blaise Matuidi (that's him celebrating) scored the winning goal in the 54th minute as Paris Saint-Germian held off visiting Barcelona 3-2.

Gustavo Manduca's penalty kick in the 32nd minute (that's him celebrating afterward) enabled APOEL FC to gain a 1-1 home draw with Ajax Amsterdam.  Lucas Andersen scored for the guests in the 28th minute.

Schöne free-kick earns Ajax draw against Paris
Lasse Schone's equalizer in the 74th minute enabled Ajax Amsterdam to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Paris Saint-Germian.  Edison Cavani scored for the French club in the 14th minute.  That's ol' Lasse battling PSG's Maxwell for the ball.
