Johan Venegas scored the only goal of the match in the 19th minute last Thursday (November 7) as Deportivo Saprissa took the opening game of the CONCACAF League Final 1-0 at home over Motagua.
The series will conclude on November 26 at Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Both clubs have already qualified for next year's CONCACAF Champions League.

CONCACAF League: Herediano Blank Motagua In Series Opener

In Thursday's opening contest of the CONCACAF League, Jimmy Marin (23') and Allan Cruz (62') each scored once as CS Herediano blanked visiting Motagua 2-0.
The series will conclude next Thursday at Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
