Dodi Lukebakio produced a hat trick (44', 77', 90'+3) as Fortuna Dusseldorf came back from two goals down on Saturday to gain a surprise 3-3 German Bundesliga road draw with Bayern Munich.

Thomas Muller scored twice (20', 58') and Niklas Sule one (17') for the hosts.

FORTUNA DUSSELDORF BACK IN BUNDESLIGA AFTER 15-YEAR ABSENCE; HERTHA BERLIN RELEGATED

At Dusseldorf, Germany:

Maximilian Beister (1') and Ranislav Jovanovic (59') each scored a goal on Tuesday as Fortuna Dusseldorf gained a 2-2 home draw with Hertha Berlin in Tuesday second match of the teams' two-game German Bundesliga promotion-relegation playoffs, enabling the hosts to win the series 4-3 on aggreagate.  Fortuna (along with fellow promotees SpVgg Greuther Furth and Eintracht Frankfurt) will be playing in the German top flight next season for the first time sice 1996-97 while the visitors from the capital lost their top-flight status after one year and will play in the second division next season.  The contest was delayed for some twenty minutes as fans stormed onto the pitch just as the seventh and final minute of second-half stoppage time was getting started.  They played that final minute once order was restored.

German Bundesliga Promotion/Relegation Playoff: Thanks In Part To Defensive Blunder, Hertha Stunned At Home In Series Opener

At Berlin:


Thomas Broker scored the equalizer in the 64th minute, then, in the 71st, Gustavo Ramos scored an own goal as Fortuna Dusseldorf from the second division knocked off home-standing Hertha Berlin from the top flight 2-1 on Thursday in the opening contest of a two-game playoff for the right to play in the German Bundesliga next year.  The return match will take place next Tuesday in Dusseldorf as Fortuna is attempting to advance to the top flight for the first time since 1997.  Hertha, who won their way back to the top flight last season after a one-year absence, is attempting to keep alive Bundesliga soccer in the German capital.
