Jozy Makes Things Rosy For Team USA In Sarajevo; Winning Streak At 12

At Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina:

Jozy Altidore delivered a hat trick (59', 84', 86') as the United States overcame a two-goal deficit to upend hosts Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-3 on Wednesday in an international exhibition match.

The win was the Americans' 12th in a row, stretching their longest-ever winning streak.  It was the first home defeat for the Bosnians since 2010 (to France).

Team USA Knocks Off Germany In WC Qualifying Tuneup

At Washington:

Clint Dempsey scored twice on Sunday (60', 64') as the United States held off visiting Germany 4-3 in an international exhibition contest.  It was the first time the Americans defeated the Germans since 1999.  This was the last match before Team USA travels to Jamaica for the resumption of World Cup qualifying (CONCACAF) on Friday.

Stoppage-Time Goal Gains Team USA Road Draw In Russia

At Krasnodar, Russia:

Mix Diskerud's stoppage-time equalizer (90'+3) lifted the United States to a 2-2 road draw with Russia in an international exhibition match that took place on Wednesday.  Michael Bradley scored for Team USA in the 76th minute.

AT LAST: TEAM USA KNOCKS OFF MEXICO----IN MEXICO

At Mexico City:

Michael Orozco Pascal scored the only goal of the match in the 80th minute on Wednesday night as the United States defeated Mexico 1-0 in an exhibition match.  It was the Americans' first-ever win over their arch-rivals on Mexican soil after 75 years of trying.  Goalkeeper Tim Howard made three saves in preserving the shutout and victory.

Team USA And Canada Battle To Scoreless Draw In Toronto

At Toronto:


The United States and home-standing Canada battled to a 0-0 stalemate on Sunday in the final tune-up before the start of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup.


On Friday, the Canadians will visit Havana for an encounter with Cuba while Team USA will host Antigua and Barbuda at Tampa, Florida as the third round of CONCACAF regional qualifying for the 2014 World Cup commences.

Clint Dempsey scored the only goal of the match in the 55th minute on Wednesday as the United States, minus the ailing Landon Donavan, picked up their first-ever win over Italy, 1-0 on the road in an international exhibition contest.

Edson Buddle (9'), Clint Dempsey (41'), and Jozy Altidore (PK-43') provided the first-half goals as the United States held off Slovenia 3-2 on the road in an exhibition match on Tuesday, handing Jurgen Klinsmann only his second win in seven games as Team USA head coach.

Jozy Altidore (59') and Clint Dempsey (75') each scored a goal in the second half as the United States came from behind to defeat visiting Turkey 2-1 Saturday in an international exhibition match.  The Americans will play Australia next Saturday at Roodepoort, South Africa in their final warmup before they begin Group C play the following Saturday in the World Cup at Rustenburg, South Africa against England.
