Jonathan Dos Santos scored the only goal of the match in the 73rd minute as Mexico won a record eighth CONCACAF Gold Cup title (their first since 2015) by knocking off the defending champions United States 1-0 on Sunday.

AMERICANS BLANK DUTCH FOR FOURTH WOMEN'S WORLD CUP TITLE

At Decines-Charpieu, France:

Megan Rapinoe (PK-61') and Rose Lavelle (69') each scored once on Sunday as the United States repeated their Women's World Cup championship from 2015 by blanking the Netherlands 2-0 in the championship match.

The title is the Americans' fourth, a record for the tournament.

JOZY AND J-MO LEAD TEAM USA TO SIXTH CONCACAF GOLD CUP CROWN AT REGGAE BOYZ EXPENSE

At Santa Clara, California:

In Wednesday's CONCACAF Gold Cup final, Jozy Altidore (45') and Jordan Morris (88', that's him celebrating after scoring) each scored a goal as the United States won their sixth continental championship, 2-1 over Jamaica at Levi's Stadium.

For the Americans, it was their first Gold Cup title since 2013 and their third under head coach Bruce Arena.

Je-Vaughn Watson scored in the 50th minute for the Reggae Boyz.
