Group stage play in the UEFA Champions League concluded with eight games on Wednesday, including two in Group E.
At Liverpool, England:
Fiorentina, thanks to goals from Martin Jorgensen (63') and Alberto Gilardino (90'+2, that's him celebrating), came from behind to defeat eliminated Liverpool 2-1 on the road to clinch first place in Group E.
At Lyon, France:
Bafetimbi Gomis (25'), Michel Bastos (45'), Miralem Pjanic (59', that's him celebrating), and Aly Cissokho (76') each tallied once as Lyon buried visiting Debreceni VSC 4-0 to finish second in Group E and put a merciful end to the Hungarian club's European adventure.

Fiorentina and Lyon advanced to the knockout stage of the Champions League, while Liverpool will play in the knockout stage of the Europa League. Debreceni's European campaign ended Wednesday.
