UCL Group A: Bayern Blow Juve Away

At Turin, Italy:

Goals from Hans-Jorg Butt (PK-30'), Ivica Olic (52'), Mario Gomez (83'), and Anatoliy Tymoshchuk (90'+2) powered Bayern Munich to an overpowering 4-1 road win over Juventus to lock up a berth in the knockout stage. Happy Bayern players are seen here celebrating their big win.

At Ramat Gan, Israel:

Jussie provided the game's lone goal at 13 minutes (he's seen here celebrating) as Bordeaux blanked Maccabi Haifa on the road 1-0.

Bordeaux and Bayern Munich advanced to the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League, while Juventus will play in the round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League. Maccabi Haifa have been eliminated from European competition.
