CAF Champions League: Round of 16 Action Commences

The second round proper of the CAF Champions League got under way on Saturday with four games.


At Luanda, Angola:


Zinedine Bensalem's stoppage-time equalizer (90'+3) carried MC Alger to a 1-1 road draw in the opening match of their two-game series with Inter Luanda.  Pedro Henriques scored at 9 minutes for the hosts.


At Ndola, Zambia:


ZESCO United battled visiting Al-Ahly to a 0-0 deadlock in the opening match of their two-game series.


At Tunis, Tunisia:


Oussama Darragi scored twice (14', PK-32') as Esperance ST demolished visiting ASC Diaraf 5-0 in the opening match of their two-game series.


At Casablanca, Morocco:


Mustapha Allaoui scored the game's lone goal at 16 minutes as Wydad Casablanca blanked visiting TP Mazembe 1-0 in their series opener.
