Group Five:
At Santiago, Chile:
Diego Rubio scored twice (6', 22') as Colo Colo moved to the top of the Group Five standings with a 2-1 home win over Deportivo Tachira, eliminating the Venezuelan club from the tournament in the process.
Group Eight:
At Montevideo, Uruguay:
Facundo Parra scored the only goal of the match (33') as Independiente defeated Penarol on the road 1-0. The win was not enough to keep the Argentinian club from being eliminated. Peanrol will be playing in the knockout stage.
At Quito, Ecuador:
Luis Bolanos (47') and Hernan Barcos (58') each tallied once as LDU Quito won the group with a 2-0 home win over Godoy Cruz de Mendoza, eliminating the club from Argentina in the process.

1. LDU Quito (GP: 6; GD: +8; PTS: 10)
2. Penarol (GP: 6; GD: -5; PTS: 9)
3. Independiente (GP: 6; GD: -1; PTS; 8)
4. Godoy Cruz de Mendoza (GP: 6; GD: -2; PTS: 7)
LDU Quito and Penarol advanced to the knockout stage of the Copa Libertadores.
