In the opener, Alick Maemae scored what proved to be the winning goal in the 54th minute as Papua New Guinea's Hekari United raced out to a 3-0 lead before hanging on to hold off Tafea FC from Vanuatu 3-2.
In the nightcap, Jarrod Smith scored the winning goal in the 67th minute as Team Wellington defeated AS Tefana from Tahiti 2-1.
