MLS: Crew, RSL, Hoops Gain Saturday Wins; Goose Eggs For Galaxy and Impact; Rapids-DC, Quakes-Sounders End In 1-1 Deadlocks

Six games were contested on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Kei Kamara scored twice (21', 26') as the Columbus Crew defeated the Philadelphia Union 2-1 on the road.

At Houston:

Javier Morales (45'+2), Devon Sandoval (51'), and Juan Manuel Martinez (68') each scored a goal as Real Salt Lake downed the Houston Dynamo 3-1 on the road.

At Frisco, Texas:

Tesho Akindele (45') and Michel (45'+4) each scored a goal in the waning moments of the first half as FC Dallas held off visiting New York City 2-1. 

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Steve Birnbaum's equalizer in the 87th minute carried DC United to a 1-1 road draw with the Colorado Rapids in a match which would have, had the guests won, clinched a playoff berth.  Bobby Burling scored for the Rapids at 28 minutes.

At Carson, California:

The Los Angeles Galaxy and the visiting Montreal Impact battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At San Jose, California:

Obafemi Martins' equalizer in the 82nd minute lifted the Seattle Sounders to a 1-1 road draw with the San Jose Earthquakes.  Fatai Alashe used his noggin to register the Quakes' tally in the 70th minute.
