Luis Solignac (29') and Nemanja Nikolic (70') each scored twice as the Chicago Fire blanked guests Atlanta United 2-0.
At Kansas City, Kansas:
Matteo Mancosu's equalizer in the 86th minute lifted the Montreal Impact to a 1-1 road draw with Sporting Kansas City. Gerso Fernandes scored for the hosts in the 24th minute.
At Portland, Oregon:
Fanendo Adi scored both goals (32', 72') in the Portland Timbers' 2-0 home blanking of FC Dallas which enabled to hosts to leapfrog two spots to second place in the Western Conference standings.
