CAF Champions League Qualifying

The preliminary round for the CAF Champions League continued on Wednesday with 22 games.

At Kampala, Uganda:

Paul Mucurezzi scored the series-winning goal in the 65th minute as KCCA defeated visiting CNaPS Sport 1-0 in game two, and with the aggregate score at 2-2, won the series on away goals.

At Lobamba, Swaziland:

Despite dropping a 3-1 game-two home decision to Lesotho's Bantu, Mbabane Swallows, with the aggregate score at 5-5, still advanced on away goals.

At Dormaa Ahenkor, Ghana:

Elvis Opoku (54') and Derick Sasraku (74') each scored a second-half goal as Aduana Stars blanked visiting Al-Tahaddy 2-0 in game two and ousted the Libyan club 2-1 on aggregate.

At Libreville, Gabon:

Allen Nono (28') and Abdou Atchabao (66') delivered the goalpower that enabled CF Mounana to blank visiting Rail Club du Kadiogo 2-0 in game two and take out the club from Burkina Faso 2-1 on aggregate.

At Lagos, Nigeria:

MFM defeated visiting As Real Bamako 1-0 in game two and won their series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Algiers, Algeria:

Hichem Nekkache had a four-goal game (23', 61', 66', 80') as MC Alger nuked visiting AS Otoho 9-0 in game two and won their series 9-2 on aggregate.

At Conakry, Guinea:

A 0-0 game-two home stalemate was good enough for Horoya as the Guinean club took their series from Niger's AS FAN 3-1 on aggregate.

At Cairo, Egypt:

A 0-0 game-two road deadlock with Misr Lel-Makkasa was good enough for Generation Foot as the Senegalese club won their series with their Egyptian hosts 2-0 on aggregate.

At Victoria, Seychelles:

Ibrahim Ajib scored in the opening minute of first-half stoppage time as Young Africans gained a game-two 1-1 road draw with Saint Louis Suns United and won their series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Omdurman, Sudan:

Joel Mogorosi scored in the fourth minute as Township Rovers, despite dropping a 2-1 game-two road decision to Al-Merrikh, still won their series 4-2 on aggregate.


At Malabo, Equatorial Guinea:

A 1-1 game-two draw against Leones Vegetarianos enabled Kenya's Gor Mahia to win their series 3-1 on aggregate.


Rades, Tunisia:

Anice Badri scored twice (6', PK-54') as Esperance de Tunis clobbered visiting ASAC Concorde 5-0 in game two and took out the Mauritanian club 6-1 on aggregate.


At Yaoundé, Cameroon:


Raphael Sangare scored the only goal of the match as Nigeria's Plateau United defeated Eding Sport 1-0 on the road and won their series 4-0 on aggregate.

At Lome, Togo:

After posting a 2-1 home regulation decision in game two of their series with the ROC's AC Leopards which squared their series at 3-3 on aggregate, and with overtime dispensed with, AS Togo-Port won the penalty-kick shootout 4-3 to advance to the first round.


At Ndola, Zambia:


Zikiru Adams produced a quadruple (4', 42', 57', 60') during the first hour as ZESCO United destroyed visiting JKU 7-0 in game two and ousted the club from Zanzibar by that same score on aggregate.


At Abidjan, Ivory Coast:


Komlan Agbegniadan (30'), Gbabnon (PK-52'), and Ahmed Toure (75') each scored once as ASEC Mimosas defeated visiting Buffles du Borgou 3-2 in game two and won their series 4-3 on aggregate.


At Beira, Mozambique:


Mario Sinamunda (11') and Chelito Omar (89') each scored once as UD Songo blanked visiting Ngaya Club 2-0 in game two and won their series 3-1 on aggregate.


At Bissau, Guinea-Bissau:


A 0-0 game-two road deadlock was much more than good enough for Difaa El Jadidi as the Moroccan club easily won their two-match series 10-0 on aggregate.


At Blantyre, Malawi:


Jean-Marc Makusu Mundele (21') and Bayoli Bayombe (78') each scored once as AS Vita Club defeated Mighty Wanderers 2-1 on the road and ousted the Malawian club 6-1 on aggregate.


At Zvishavane, Zimbabwe:


Winston Mhango (OG-54') and Jacques Bitumba (90'+3) each scored once as CD Primeiro de Agosto defeated FC Platinum 2-1 on the road and eliminated the Zimbabwean club 5-1 on aggregate.


At Belle Vue Maurel, Mauritius:


Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two road decision to Pamplemousses, South Africa's Bidvest Wits still won their series 2-1 on aggregate.


At Bujumbura, Burundi:


Hussein Shabani scored the series winner in the 27th minute as Rwanda's Rayon Sports defeated LLB Academic FC 1-0 in game two on the road and won their series 2-1 on aggregate.
