A 0-0 game-two home stalemate was good enough for Bayern Munich as the German powerhouse eliminated Sevilla 2-1 on aggregate.

Cristiano Ronaldo converted the series-winning penalty kick in the eighth minute of second-half stoppage time as Real Madrid, despite dropping a 3-1 game-two home decision to Juventus, won their series with the Italian club that they defeated in last year's final 4-3 on aggregate.
